we kinda like you

i have a hard time talking about myself so i figured i would let my clients do the talking for me. i guess the key ideas i would want prospective clients to know is that i want you having your images captured a good experience. fun, relaxed and goofy is my goal. i gently direct when needed to get that good light or angle, but my focus is to have you move around and interact with each other or if you are flying solo, you get to listen to my dad jokes. life is messy and joyful, and that is exactly what i want to capture for you. every client and session is unique and i like to reflect that in my portfolio. there is no one size fits all “filter” for my galleries. i approach editing without a cookie cutter uniformity or style. sometimes a session is moody, sometimes a session is bright. different light creates different feelings and i try not to force it.

I knew from the moment I found myself in the dark hole that is Instagram, scrolling and scrolling through the Gold Dust Photography magic that I had found the photographer I NEEDED for my wedding. Candice offered us so much more than just perfectly raw and beautiful photography. She was able to wrangle wild family members, give all the wedding dress advice, lots of self-confidence boosting and of course the belly laughs. I am in love with the photos Candice captured from our wedding day. I could look at the warm and moody tones forever and still get all the feels when I see the pictures.
